Any Online Bookkeeper Can Find Tons of Clients

by Doing This

online bookkeeperDo you find yourself struggling to find clients in your local area? An online bookkeeper who never has to meet with their clients or worry about a limited market size has the best of both worlds.

As an online bookkeeper, you can focus on finding either virtual or offline businesses to target as potential clients.  With so many virtual businesses run by Internet Marketers online these days, you have a huge pool of prospective clients to draw from.  But don’t ignore the offline businesses that are searching online for you as a bookkeeper either.

So where do you find these bookkeeping clients?  You could start by posting an ad on Craigslist.org.  Craigslist breaks their pages up by city, so you’ll need to select a city you want to target (most likely your own) and post your bookkeeping service ad there.  You can post in multiple cities, but be very careful that you word each ad completely different.   Craigslist frowns upon this and considers it Spam if you try to run the same ad in different areas.

Another great place to find virtual clients is on the WarriorForum.com.  This is where a massive amount of Internet Marketers hang out.  At this writing, they have about 130,000 members so you know this is a great place to meet clients.

Many small service providers such as article writers and virtual assistants have launched their careers by hooking up with clients on this popular forum.  There’s no reason why an online bookkeeper can’t take advantage of this as well.

Make sure you use a signature with a link to your bookkeeping website so that it shows up on all your posts.  After you’ve made some relevant posts on this forum, place an ad in the Classified Ad section of the forum.

If you’re really adventurous, place an ad in the Warrior Special Offers (WSO) section.  Many service providers quickly fill up their Day-Timers by posting an offer here.  Be aware that you will have to offer a lower rate to place an offer here.  But there’s no reason that you can’t limit this special rate for three months only.  Once you land the client and do a good job for them, most of them won’t want to let you go even if you have to raise your rates once the three month period is up.

Another option for finding online clients is going to eBay.com.  There are tons of Powersellers on eBay who need help with their bookkeeping.  You could seek them out by searching for them and then contacting them directly. Or you could place a Classified Ad on eBay listing your bookkeeping services.  Potential clients could call you directly or contact you through eBay.
